• In earlier Taiwanese homes and public spaces, many buildings were not designed with elevators or accessible features in mind. Stair-lift systems were created specifically for these types of buildings. Unlike elevators, they do not take up indoor floor space—rails are simply installed along the stairs.
• They are also energy-efficient and cost-effective to maintain. Power consumption is comparable to a fan, and maintenance is typically required only once a year.
• Riding the lift is comfortable and safe, thanks to cushioned seats and handrails, allowing users to move up and down stairs with ease. The visible movement of the lift helps reduce feelings of claustrophobia, as users can see the space around them.
• The exposed rail design also makes cleaning and maintenance straightforward—you can use a small brush to remove dust or wipe with a damp cloth.
