The residence of Mr. Hsieh in Taichung showcases a 0-degree, no-turn stair lift installation. In a typical staircase, one side is usually a wall and the other side has a handrail. So, which side should the stair lift track be installed on? This depends on the overall layout and movement of the track—for example, whether there are entrances or exits along the track’s path, and whether the folded/stored position of the lift would obstruct the staircase. The image below provides a full view of the track layout from the 1st to 2nd floor at the Hsieh residence.
- The lift starts at a 0-degree straight incline and ends with a 180-degree turn, folding neatly along the wall—ensuring extremely smooth and unobstructed movement along the staircase!
